I've gone ahead and pulled the Octogon Boat Table # 315-DSI-KF from our inventory to measure for your specific question. There is a depth of 2-1/4 inches from the top of the cup holder to the very bottom. If you notice in the pictures, there is a ring at the bottom. From the top of the cup holder to the start of the ring, there is a depth of 1-3/4 inches. At the bottom the ring reduces the 3-1/2 inch diameter of the top section of the cup holder to 2-3/4 inches in diameter.
